Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field Therapy

Pulsed Electro-Magnetic field (PEMF) therapy is beneficial for:

One of the advantages of pulsed electro-magnetic field therapy (PEMF), is its benignity when used alongside other therapies or drugs, so it is an ideal therapy to be used in conjunction with Veterinary treatments.

 When PEMF interacts with tissue it induces an electric field, causing a stimulating current in the tissue, enhancing growth-related responses, therefore assisting the healing process.

In 2003 a study was carried out on animals with osteoarthritis, which showed that the use of PEMF reduced the severity of Osteoarthritis and assisted in the preservation of articular cartilage.

PEMF has been shown to facilitate the existing biochemical processes, particularly those involving growth factors. This then stimulates a multitude of cellular responses depending on the cell type.
